The Weekend

We have had a busy past few days which is why I have not had much time to write about Collin. I hosted a baby shower Saturday night so a lot of Friday was spent running errands for the baby shower. The baby shower was for our neighbors, Chris and Ashley, that have watched Collin a few times for us and fell in love with him. They are having a little girl, named Ella. Collin is excited because he will have another girlfriend and she lives REALLY close. ;)

Mimi came over to watch Collin while we were at the baby shower. Yep, it was a couples shower and Chris was excited to be there. He was actually a huge help because he helped me take pictures while we were there. The shower finished up early enough for us to see a movie afterwards. That was really nice to be able to spend some time together like that.

This afternoon, Collin and I met Parker and his mom, Mindy, at a local park to swing and play on a blanket under the trees. Parker is about a week younger than Collin. I met his mommy in an expectant mom's group and we have kept in touch since then. I had not seen Parker yet so it was fun to finally see him. Each boy was really funny because they would stare at the other mommy and smile. We thought this was too funny. Even when they were in the swings, they were looking at the other mommy. After swinging, they did a great job at sharing their toys with each other. Parker had some new ones to Collin. He really liked the plastic spoon......see the prior blog. Out of all of the toys, he picks up the spoon. Crazy kid! He was also really interested in Parker's sippy cup. Collin currently does not drink from a sippy cup. He can drink from a cup without the top but he still prefers a bottle. Anyway, Collin tried Parker's sippy cup and was really interested in it....he has not so an interest in sippy cups before. I will have to get him one of these to see if his interest continues. He has a great time as was worn out from the park. He was not interested in his sold food, only drank 5 oz. and fell asleep in his highchair. He went to bed about 1 1/2 hours before his usual bedtime. That was one tired kid.

He was really fussy this weekend for some reason. I could not see new teeth coming in so I did not think he was teething. He did have some gas but not much more than usual. I hope the happy Collin makes an appearance soon.
