South Dakota - Campground - Day 3

The Black Hills of South Dakota are beautiful! Because we did not arrive at the campsite until after 11am, we did not intend to leave the campground at all the next day. We all needed to get out, stretch our legs and….most importantly, not to get back in a moving vehicle for at least a day.

Love the backdrop of the campground.  That's our colorful RV is the sea of white ones.

After breakfast, Collin peeked out the front window of the RV to see what there was to do. He saw the lake in front of our RV and wanted to immediately go swimming. We told him swimming would be later. Collin and I walked around while Daddy stayed behind. While headed to the playground, we stopped to play some miniature golf. I thought would play a hole or two before Collin got bored. Nope….he wanted to play the entire course of eight holes. When we finished, he wanted to do it again. We, instead, headed back to get Daddy. He and Daddy got in a paddle boat because Collin wanted to get in the water really bad. He did not like it as much as he thought he would.

While I napped (not feeling good again), the boys walked around to see what else there was to do. Then, they went swimming and slid down the water slide for almost two hours. After lunch, we watched a movie knowing that Collin would need a nap before playing some more.
I love this picture with Collin peeking through his hands

After a nap, we all played two rounds of miniature golf, road a four-person bike and then had dinner before watching a movie in the campground theatre. Collin had seen the movie, Brave, before but he did not care. The kid sure does love his movies. After the movie, Collin and I took a shower using the camp showers, came back to the RV to read books and then snuggled in bed while Daddy watched a movie.
