Jeep Off Roading Near Angel Fire

The guy in charge of the fishing hut on the Monte Verde lake was very knowledgeable about off Rhodine and told us of a few places where he suggested we should go first. I'm so glad we found this guy and ask him questions because he sure did steer us in the right direction based on the first road we went on.  There are great very secluded trails just 20 minutes south of the mountain house. It was great that we didn't see anyone but we also realized we were there by ourselves which was a little eerie in case there was an emergency. Fortunately, that did not happen.

When we first went off the road, Foard was concerned and a little anxious. He quickly started having a great time based on all the comments and laughing he was doing as we were going over all the bumps. Driving through the water and having it splashed up on the jeep and the windows was everyone's favorite!  I was really excited to use the new bar on the front windshield that held my phone so I could take pictures and videos along the trail. They were a few times that we had to drive over fallen small trees. Listening to the boys in the back and their commentary as we drove over the trees was hilarious at times. Of course, there were a lot of butt and fart references. What did I expect with all the testosterone in the Jeep.

We finally made it to the summit and what a view!  I noted that we climbed 2500 feet from when we first started. We could see all around us including the snow capped mountains nearby.   We headed back down and eventually sell to other off-road vehicles before we got back on the main road. The boys, and I, cannot wait to do that again!
