Movie Night At School

As a fundraiser for one of the programs that Dad organized for Collin's school (the Watch DOG program to get dad's more involved in school), The school hosted a movie night out outside under the pavilion. The kids brought blankets, pillows, and other things to be comfortable while watching a movie. The parents brought chairs to be even more comfortable! 😛 While waiting for it to get dark enough to watch the movie, the kids played an impromptu baseball game or hung out with their friends while the parents got to know each other better. Before and during the movie, there were snacks of either candy or popcorn plus drinks for sale as an additional fundraiser item for the program. Once it got dark enough, the kids settled in for Homeward Bound which is a really cute movie about three animals getting lost on their way back home. Both the adults and the kids really enjoyed the movie.

Dad was hopeful to have at least 10 families come out. He was pleasantly surprised when they were over 50 people that joined in for the family movie night.
