Baseball Ready!

Tonight was Collin's first baseball game against the Red Sox.  The team practiced 45 minutes before the 1 hour and 20 minute game.  The Lugnuts were in the outfield first.  Collin played 2nd base and fielded several balls hit his way.  He missed a few of them because he was not "baseball ready".  He either had his glove on his head with his hand still in it or was watching someone fly a kite across the street.  When he was paying attention, he did get the ball.  Each time he was up to bat, he hit the ball.  The first time, he hit it to the pitcher who threw it to 1st base and got him out.  The second time, he made it to 2nd base.  He did not make it to home plate because the next batter made the 3rd out.
His first "at bat"

One of the few times he was "baseball ready"

Afterwards, he was excited to use a coupon to pick out something from the concession stand.  He did not know what to do because he had never been to a concession stand before.  He saw that the other boys ordered snow cones so he got him one with grape flavoring.  He ate half of it on the way home before getting a brain freeze and did not eat the rest.  He talked about the score of the game but did not mention how his team lost even though he could figure it out with a score of 16 - 4.  I'm glad that did not seem to bother him.
