At dinner tonight, Collin was telling me about his day. He then stopped mid-sentence to tell me that I am Mom now and not Mommy. "'Mommy' is for babies. Big kids say 'Mom'". I asked him who told him that and he said that he hear the neighbor kid telling his friend that he does not say "Mommy" anymore. I immediately think "No!!!, I am not ready to be just Mom". Then, he continues to talk about his day and what he did with his friends.
Later, hr called out "Mommy!!!!" and I smiled because I was still Mommy to him.
