1st Annual Neighborhood Tree Lighting

Thanks to our HOA and the Mother's Club...and Daddy idea....we had a great turnout to the 1st annual neighborhood tree lighting.  A huge magnolia tree in the middle of a cul-de-sac in the back of the neighborhood was strung with 13,000 LED lights.  At 6pm, the neighbors gathered for hot chocolate and cookies to meet new neighbors and to catch up with familiar faces.  Dad was the DJ playing some really nice Christmas music.  Then, at 6:30pm, the lights were plugged in and the tree lit up the entire area.  The lights were so bright!  We stayed for 20 more minutes talking while the kids played.  Collin played some football in the yard with some of the boys and looked like he was having a really good time.  We all hated to leave but it was cold, starting to rain and it was time to get ready for bed to start the week.

I love our neighborhood!
