Field Trip to the State Capitol

The 4th grade field trip is a big one. The kids get to go to the state capitol and a museum close to the area. A large group went up the night before to meet for dinner and play putt putt golf. The boys had a great time playing golf ...and so did a few of the moms. There was a contest between the groups to see who could make the most Hole in Ones. I made the most for the mom group and Dad made the most for the boys. The golf place was vintage and really fun. We then had pizza and the boys worked off some energy...but Collin still had a ton left by the time we got back to our hotel room.

The next morning, we met for breakfast at a fun donut place. The donut were HUGE so much so that Collin only ate half of his usual order.

Then, we went to the museum before heading to the visitor center and capitol. We all learned a few new things about the state and it’s history. Between the museum and visitor center, we had lunch on the capital lawn. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

It was a full day for a field trip that we had a great time. Collin fell asleep on the car ride home for most of the way.  Really fun memories for sure.
