Road Trip - Day 3 - Exploring Phoenix

We spent the day in Phoenix.  I was excited to show the boys around the city and what I liked to do when I lived here.  We had a light breakfast and then head to Camelback Mountain but the walk from where we needed to park was too long so we went to Piestewa Mountain instead.  Both mountains are in the city so the views are similar.  Camelback is more challenging so it was best that we went to the other mountain anyway.

Collin did fantastic hiking up and down the 3.3 mile hike.  He would hike ahead of us but stop where we could see him.  I could tell he was having a great time.  I think he was even interested in what I said about the scenery including pointing out the different cactus.  The weather was great for a hike.  It was chilly but nice because we did not sweat too much.

He is loving hiking ahead at his pace
What a good looking family  :)

After the hike, we were really tired.....and hungry.  Dad thought it would be fun to watch the new Star Wars movie.  It was sold out so we had lunch and bought tickets online for the next showing of Star Wars.  We then had dinner and crashed in our room.  Well, Collin was not tired and wanted to watch one of the earlier Star Wars movies while I wrote the blog and Dad watched the news.  What a great day spent with the family.

We are leaving Phoenix in the morning and making our way to Sedona where we will spend a few days.
