Last night, Collin played a fantastic game at the last baseball game of the season before the playoffs. He caught to pop flies in the outfield and ran after one of the balls that made it all the way to the fence so fast that he was able to cut off the runner at 2nd base with a very long throw from the back fence. I can tell he has been practicing his throwing and catching. At bat, he hit both times. The first time he got out because the opposing team caught his pop fly and he got out at 1st base.
At the end of the game, the coach gave him the game ball AND $10 for the two balls he caught ($5 each). He was so excited to finally get the game ball so much so that he slept with it last night and brought it with him to breakfast this morning.
The Astros lost 6 - 7. We will find out this weekend what bracket the team is on for the playoffs that start in a week.
