Collin has continued to get a hit every time he is at bat. He might not hit on the first pitch but he will get a hit by pitch #4. Hitting has become his favorite part of baseball.....besides the snacks after the game. He wants to practicing hitting at home almost every day. It shows too that he as been practicing. At the beginning of the season, we had to remind him about his stance and how to hold the bat. He does all of this on his own now. He even swings from his hips and turns his foot in when he is supposed to for more power. I video him at least one each game because he wants to see how he did and review what he might should change.
Here he is batting at the last game. He does not hit the ball in the video but it's a good example of him standing at home plate confidently and ready for the ball.
Here are some still shots of him hitting the ball after the video was taken. He got on 2nd base and hit one runner in (RBI).

Back foot is turned like it is supposed to be and he is not chopping at the ball. Great job Collin! |
