Splash Day at School

Now that the school summer program has started, Collin gets to participate in Splash Day on Tuesday mornings.  This means that he arrives at school wearing his water shoes, swim suit, swim shirt and sunscreen.  They play on the splash pad in the back of the school for about an hour and then come back inside to dry off and change for the rest of the day.

Today was the first day of Splash Day.  We had to buy Collin new water shoes this past weekend because his shoes from last year are a little tight.  He initially wanted to buy the pink ones (he said, "Mommy, my favorite color is pink and purple"....which I knew but there was NO WAY he was going to school with pink water shoes).  His next choice was the red ones.  I am glad because there were red ones in his size (10). 

When he arrived at school this morning, he was so excited about getting in the water.  The other boys were comparing their swim suits among other clothing.  This is what Daddy saw.....guess the other boys liked red too!
