Pappy, why are you so early?

Collin is getting into things more and more these days. One day while we were playing at home recently, I heard music. I thought it was coming from the cars driving down the street outside but it was coming from the other direction. I followed the sound until I figured out that Collin had turned on the DVD player but the TV was not on. The DVD was playing but without the picture. I thought it was funny because we thought we had baby-proofed that area. I guess not.

Collin apparently was pushing buttons on electronics while at Mimi's house too. Unknown to Mimi and Pappy, he played with Pappy's alarm clock one day about a week ago. Pappy woke up one morning and thought he was extra tired. He knew he had been working hard and thought that was the reason. He really wanted to sleep a few more hours but knew his guys were waiting for him to pick them up that morning at 6am. He got ready, loaded the truck up with all of the equipment for the day, and headed to meet the guys. He was almost there when he heard on the radio that it was only 3am. What?!?! That explained why he felt so tired. He turned around and came home but could not go back to bed. He stayed up and watched TV hoping he would fall back asleep. He told Mimi the story later that day and she confessed that she saw Collin playing with the radio the day before but did not think anything of it.

Pappy checks the alarm clock nightly now.
