Mimi and Papi spent the night with us Christmas Eve. We had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant and then got in one car to look at Christmas lights. We all loved hearing Collin point out the houses he would want to live in instead of his current house. He was picking out the largest houses on the streets and not because of the Christmas lights around the house. We explained to him that we love our house and don't want to leave. He understood but still pointed out the houses he liked. We came home and did not stay up too much later because we knew the next day would be a LONG day. We told Collin to not go into the living area until we were all up so we can see what Santa brought him at the same time.
Collin slept in until 7am. Mimi and Papi needed to be woken up. He was so patient waiting for them to get up and get dressed so we could see what Santa brought and then open presents. Collin did not see initially what Santa brought him until we pointed out the Pogo Stick. He took it and started jumping on it. He could only jump once or twice before having to start over again. I tried it thinking I could get a few hops in. It was harder than I remembered it when I was his age. I only got a hop or two in before falling over too. We then dumped out our stockings and checked out what was in there. Santa knew we were going on a road trip because Collin got some flashlights, games to play in the car and other things to use during the trip.
Trying out the pogo stick. Love that his Santa's hat is flopping up. |
Now that's a stocking!!! Santa was able to get a lot of stuff in there. |

Excited about my Athleta clothes. Dad did great! |
After presents, we went to our neighbor's house, the Jureks, for breakfast. They made pancakes, eggs and bacon. So yummy and great to spend breakfast with friends. We are so blessed and know it.
